The VCUFTA Agreement was officially signed on May 29, 2015 between one Party, Vietnam, and the other Party, including 5 member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (including Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan) and is expected to take effect from 2016. Accordingly, goods imported from Russia will enjoy special preferential taxes according to the agreement on goods.

5. Procedure for transporting goods from Russia to Vietnam
After the goods are ready to be delivered at the exporter’s warehouse, the procedure for transporting a standard shipment includes the following steps:
Step 1: Transport from the exporter’s warehouse
Step 2: Export customs clearance and loading and unloading of goods at the yard
Step 3: International transportation
Step 4: Import customs clearance (note, some items require a license, declaration, quality inspection… to be eligible for customs clearance)
Step 5: Exploiting goods at the import port

6. Notes on shipping goods from Russia
There are not many shipping lines that have routings from Russia to transit to HPH, there are few shipping schedules in the month, even no schedules in some months, so it is often deployed in 2 stages:
Stage 1: From Russia to connecting port: usually Turkey (Istabul, …) or Hong Kong/ China
Stage 2: After the container discharge in HKG or China, the agent in that country will arrange booking to VN
